2019 was a milestone year for the Hughes Family. It marked 70 years since Don Hughes established Shepparton Wheel Works back in 1949.
We service the communities of Country Victoria and Southern NSW from Seymour (South) to Jerilderie (North), Albury (East) to Swan Hill (West).

Here we have a busy scene at Shepparton Wheel Works back in October of 1957. (Don Hughes - back left) Lloyd Arho (or Tex) can be seen here 2nd from the right on the drilling machine. Tex is now in his nineties and still comes into the workshop each week, but only for morning tea these days.
OUR HISTORY
Don Hughes started work at Austral Motor Wheel Works in Melbourne in 1934 as a 14 year old apprentice. Don and family moved to Shepparton in 1949 and established Shepparton Wheel Works.
Shepparton Wheel Works has been repairing car, truck, tractor, motorcycle and industrial wheels for over 70 years. Same family, same location, the oldest wheel repair business in Australia with over one hundred thousand wheels processed through Shepparton Wheel Works in the past 70 years.
Shepparton Wheel Works has never been and never will be For Sale, you simply can't buy two generations and over 80 years of experience.
Les Hughes, son of the late Don Hughes, has worked in the business with his father since the mid 1970s, with over 40 years of personal experience behind him, he continues the family tradition with his wife Julie Hughes.
Les assesses and repairs every wheel personally, with no compromise on quality and workmanship.
